Welcome to Thousand Acres Golf Club
Dear Members, We are nearing the end of an incredible golf year here at Thousand Acres Golf Club. Even though we may not be seeing you as often at our beautiful course this November, we still want to keep in touch. We will be sending out monthly newsletters with updates on all things Thousand Acres to our wonderful members. These updates may include a variety of topics including information on course updates, upcoming events, club projects, and more. Plenty of great pictures will be included as well, so you can look forward to our newsletter each month. For those that plan on continuing to play golf at Thousand Acres through the end of this year, we cannot wait to see you at the Golf Shop. It is important to note that as we enter the off-season, golf course and golf shop hours are weather dependent. We strongly encourage that you always call us before you play. As always, please do not hesitate to reach out if there is anything we can do for you here at the Club. We hope to see you soon. With best wishes, Bob Raley General Manager

Course Conditioning
Rejuvenating the greens for next year
While play is slowing down at Thousand Acres Golf Club, we have been taking several steps to improve the current nine holes of our spectacular course. First, our fall aerification of our greens went exceptionally well. The greens are fully recovered and are now rolling smoothly. Second, the front nine cart paths are almost completely paved. We are incredibly excited for a much less bumpy cart riding experience for years to come. Lastly, the construction of a much-needed maintenance facility is finished.
This new building will be a critical storage and staging center as it will help preserve the condition of our equipment and improve the efficiency of maintaining of our golf course. For the remainder of the year, our course conditioning will be focused on leaf clean up and preparations for the winter season.

Golf Shop Merchandise
Here in the golf shop, we are always thinking about how we can improve the experience of play at Thousand Acres Golf Club. A major step that we will be taking to do so for the 2022 season will be brand-new electric golf carts. Currently, we are excited to be deep into the process of ordering new rides. On top of that, we are planning the construction of a cart storage building which will assist us in keeping our new carts in pristine condition while also improving the aesthetic of our space outside of the Golf Shop. We will keep you all updated on the specific timeline of our new golf carts and cart building as soon as we have more information.
As for merchandise, the golf industry has experienced supply chain issues just as many other industries have. However, we are lucky to be fully stocked with balls, gloves, hats, shirts, and more. Come on over to the golf shop to find amazing fall merchandise for the holiday season. We would love to see you drop by.
Lastly, we want to reiterate the importance of calling the Golf Shop before coming to play during this offseason. Golf course and golf shop hours are weather dependent, so be sure to ensure the availability of openings and tee times.

Construction Update
We know the anticipation for the brand-new back nine at Thousand Acres is tremendously high, so we would like to provide you all with some recent updates on its construction progress. Most importantly, we are currently on pace for members to be able to play the back nine in 2022. All greens, fairways, and roughs are fully seeded. The greens are growing in very nicely, and they all have been mowed several times. Some of the cart paths are also beginning to get paved. We are still working on some bunker construction and a few of the tee boxes which should be complete by springtime of 2022. Our construction and maintenance crews will continue working all winter as weather permits to complete this beautiful nine holes that members can expect to play some point next year.
